Funeral Service, Interment, and Thanksgiving Celebrations
The fourth and final day of the valedictory celebrations for Chief Anthony Ashaolu marks a dignified conclusion, one that blends solemn farewell with heartfelt thanksgiving.
The day opens with the Funeral Service at St Peter’s Catholic Church, Igbole-Ekiti, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. This service brings together family, friends, and well-wishers to commend the soul of the departed to God, in prayer, scripture, and song, celebrating a life of faith, service, and lasting impact.
Following the church service, a Private Interment will take place at Orógogo Temple between 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm, reserved for close family members in keeping with tradition and family wishes.
At the same time, guests are invited to a Reception and Entertainment at the Anglican Church Hall, also from 1:30 pm, providing an opportunity for communal fellowship and shared remembrance in Igbole-Ekiti.
The celebrations then continue later in the afternoon with a second Reception and Entertainment at AB Foundation Civic Centre, Ado-Ekiti, commencing at 2:00 pm. This final gathering offers friends and well-wishers another opportunity to honour the legacy of Chief Ashaolu in a warm, celebratory atmosphere.
Day Four brings the programme to a graceful close, uniting prayer, tradition, and community in a fitting farewell to a life well lived and fondly remembered.
