    • Currency exchange is best done in Lagos or major cities.

    • April weather is typically warm; light clothing is advised.

    • For comfort, guests are encouraged to travel during daylight hours.

  • Ado-Ekiti is the capital of Ekiti State in south-western Nigeria. It does not currently have regular flights into the newly constructed airport, but it is accessible by road and nearby airports.

    Travel from Lagos to Ado-Ekiti:

    Option A: By Road (Most Common Option)

    • Distance: ~300 km

    • Travel time: 5–6 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions.

    • Routes usually pass through Ibadan → Ilesa or Akure (Owena) → Ado-Ekiti. The Akure (Owena) route is our recommendation

    • Transport options:

    • Private car with or without driver (recommended for comfort)

    • Lagos to Ado-Ekiti Taxi from Ojota Park, Lagos

    • Pre-arranged family transport; please call us to check availability

    Option B: Fly to Akure, then drive to Ado-Ekiti

    • Take a domestic flight from Lagos to Akure Airport

    • Flight time: ~1 hour

    • Drive from Akure to Ado-Ekiti: ~1 hour

    • You may get a Taxi from Akure

    • If pre-arranged, and for some of our guests, we may pick you up from Akure airport

    Ado-Ekiti is well connected by road from major cities:

    • From Lagos: 5–6 hours

    • From Ibadan: ~3 hours

    • From Akure: 1 - 1½ hours

    • From Abuja: 7–8 hours (road or flight to Akure + road)

    Commercial and private vehicles operate daily.

    On Arrival in Ado-Ekiti

    • Taxis and ride services are available locally.

    • Family representatives may be available to assist guests to hotels and venues.

  • Guests are advised to book accommodation early.

    • Palm wine and other traditional beverages will be offered at our gatherings, in-line with our ancestral traditions, and to the delight of Chief Tony Ade Ashaolu.

    • We have provisions for Halal cuisine, do let us know if this is your preference.

    • For your leftovers, you may take them with you, or we will donate such to food banks.

    • Alcoholic and Non-alcoholic beverages will be made available.

  • We will assist most of the time if you do not have your car. Taxis are available and cost-effective
