Tribute for Chief Ashaolu. Brian Mbatha.

I would like to honour and bid farewell to Chief Ashaolu, a friend, a father, a grand father, a teacher, a neighbour. Busuyi introduced me to this giant in December 2015. He was like a sturdy oak—a source of quiet strength and unparalleled wisdom. He was a man of integrity, a gentle soul with a great sense of humour, and someone who always had a smile for everyone. He lived fully, loved deeply, and left this world better than he found it. The world is a little dimmer without him, but his light continues to shine in the lives he touched. We thank him for the footprints he left on our hearts. Though our hearts are heavy, they are also full of memories. We feel a profound gratitude for having had such a guiding light in our lives. Rest well, Chief Ashaolu.
